Outdoor hospitality specialist Jet Hospitality has expanded into Wyoming with the acquisition of the Virginian Hotel in Medicine Bow and the Park Motel in Powell.
The Virginian, a Wyoming landmark for more than a century, will undergo renovations and eventually operate as a “museum-style destination concept,” according to Jet Hospitality.
Plans are underway for state-of-the-art food and beverage facilities including a cafe, supper club and fine dining restaurant. The Shiloh Saloon on the property, said to be one of the oldest bars in the state, will be preserved.
The Park Motel has also undergone renovations and is scheduled to debut this summer as one of the first locations for Jet Hospitality’s new Jet Motor Inn brand.
Jet Hospitality describes Jet Motor Inn as a “retro fab, roadside boutique hotel brand” that will operate along historic routes such as the Lincoln Highway and interstate markets along I-80. It’s a schedule.
The two Wyoming properties join Jet Hospitality’s existing portfolio of outdoor-oriented lodging options across the Pacific North and Rocky Mountain West. This includes lodges, tiny homes, glamping properties and his RV facilities in Washington, Idaho, Montana and Utah.
The expansion comes as the lifestyle and hospitality sector races to meet growing demand for boutique lodging near national parks and other nature-focused destinations in the United States.
