1. “I’ve done a lot of solo travel over the years, but one place I always remember very fondly is Vienna, Austria. The people are incredibly kind and the food is… It was really great. The coffee, beer and wine scene was amazing. I’m more of an introvert, but I love going out to wine bars and breweries at night and seeing some of the most beautiful art in the world. It’s so much fun just walking through the museum. And on the last day, when I came upon a rehearsal of the Lipizzaner stallion, a world-famous show horse, I was led into the arena and able to see the horse. Vienna will always be one of my favorite places.”
2. “I absolutely love the Red River Delta in Vietnam. Amazing scenery and amazing history. We stayed in a cute little hotel run by a grandmother, mother and daughter (also: great food, friendly people, all the good things! ))”

3. “After a particularly intense period of burnout, both my therapist and PCP told me I needed to take time off from work. I traveled to Joshua Tree from Northern California with my dog for two weeks to cook, drink wine, do yoga, finish the first draft of my novel, smoke weed in the bathtub, watch black and white movies, read, and… I went on endless hikes with my dog. It’s so restorative that I would do it again, this time willingly, and not because it was medically necessary.”
4. “Sayulita, Mexico! The beaches are amazing, great hiking, surfing, restaurants, bars, and lots of art. The main street is very touristy, so go a little off the beaten track and really enjoy the… We encourage you to enjoy the beauty of the region, which is generally safe for travelers and offers a great alternative to overcrowded and expensive resorts. ”

5. “I stayed alone in Dublin and had a great time. However, a tip is to get a hotel close to the center. I had to rent a car and it actually ended up getting stolen during a bus trip to another city, but Ireland was generally a really beautiful place with friendly people. As a woman, I have experienced some racism, but I never felt unsafe. During my week-long stay, I walked through the city center every day and had no problems. was.”
6. “I backpacked solo through Pictured Rocks in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula. I was very nervous at first, but spending five days alone in nature was amazing. I felt very accomplished and had a lot of time there.”It was life-changing. I also think Pictured Rocks is the most beautiful place I’ve ever been to. Having visited most of the famous national parks, I can’t believe that any national park is better than Pictured Rocks. ”

7. “I have traveled to Japan alone twice and will be back again later this year. I felt safe both times. I have traveled to Kyoto and Osaka and around Hiroshima prefecture. Probably safer “I feel that this is true in Japan more than in my own country.” [country.]”
8. “Alaska is beautiful and should be added to your travel list as soon as possible! I’m over 40 and have traveled alone and hiked all over the state without any problems. I was nervous. The only time I encountered a bear was because it was so far away that I left each other alone, but I was still a little nervous to meet it in person. I never felt that way and all the locals I met were so nice and helpful.”

9. “I’m a woman who actually prefers traveling solo. You get to do what you want, when you want, and traveling solo helps you make new friends along the way. Outside of North America, Berlin, Germany is by far It’s the best city I’ve ever been to. If you’re into music and art, this is the city for you. I met a guy and he asked me to hang out at his bar the next night at 10pm. After he finished his job, he went bar hopping, went to a burlesque show in a warehouse, and ended up going to All Night Art. While the nightlife is great, the city’s history is also unparalleled. We are still friends and I always take my friends when they visit his bar. Impossible to find in Europe. ”
10. “I’ve been to New York and Amsterdam as a solo female traveler. In both I felt safe and never felt out of place being alone. Both had so much to see and do. Of the two, I probably liked Amsterdam a little more because the people are so kind and it’s such a historic city. I think I got yelled at by strangers several times while I was there. Traveling alone is often safer because there are more people around and it tends to be safer than in the countryside.”

11. “I’ve traveled to a lot of places. If you want a fun, easy, and great place to travel solo, I highly recommend London, England. London has great walking tours. I I attended a few of them and met a few of the other women on the trip.” I met a few times by myself and had dinner, but I bought a sandwich at one of the many convenience stores and ate it in the park. and eating at nice pubs. Transportation is very easy. The subway is much easier to use than the New York subway. I went twice by myself and had a great time. ”
12. “Iceland. I rented a car and drove it myself for 10 days. I felt safer than home in America. It was the most beautiful place I’ve ever been. I was homesick for a year. Until I went to Iceland, I had never lived anywhere, and I fell in love with Icelandic horses. If I could do what I like and eat what I like, I would go there right away. I want to see what I want to see without compromise, and that’s how I sometimes talk and meet people. If you’re traveling with people you know, you probably won’t talk to anyone else. As a solo traveler, I am more of an extrovert. ”

13. “Cuba. Hands down. When I went, I had recently gone through a shocking breakup and had booked a trip to Cuba with a friend for my first trip out of the country as an adult. When I left the airport two weeks ago, I shared a taxi with a girl who had spent three months alone in Ghana, and she told me to relax and do my best. enjoy. ‘Honestly, it was one of the best experiences of my life, I laughed, cried, fell in love (a Cuban man will do anything to you), and most importantly The thing is, I found myself and closed the final chapter of that relationship. ”

15. “Prague is a great place for solo female travelers. I went there last fall and it was amazing. The food, architecture, and history were all amazing and worth 3-4 days to explore. “Everyone spoke English,” which helped me improve my Czech language. We also received great advice about hidden gems and non-tourist destinations. But I wasn’t even afraid of getting lost in the old town after dark one night. We had a drink at a hidden bar and got directions back to where we were going. ”
16. “I just got back from Paris. I don’t really travel alone and this is my first time outside of the North American continent. I have pretty bad anxiety, OCD, and I’m on the autism spectrum, so I… is a human awkward banana muffin — but I decided to go [Paris] I was really happy to be able to celebrate my birthday there. I loved walking around the city center, people watching and enjoying the beautiful architecture. And as a historian, it was incredible to go to museums and places like Versailles and think about all the stories behind the artifacts there. We also walked around a bit at night (not too late, like 8pm or 9pm) and felt completely safe. I felt relieved because there were several other women walking alone. All in all, it was a great trip. ”

17. “As a solo traveler, I never thought New Orleans would be a good place to go alone, but I was pleasantly surprised! Even though I had work to do, I literally couldn’t stop eating around the city. I went on tour and I don’t regret it.” Spend the next two months going a little harder in the gym. If you can stand the heat, rent a bike at Buzz Girlfriend Nora. I went there at the beginning of August. I’m not going to lie, it was tough. But it’s hard to ride a bike everywhere. It’s much cheaper and works well if you plan where to stop. This tour revealed an incredible amount of history and changed the way I saw New Orleans. ”
