VisitScotland Connect 2024, the national tourism body’s flagship travel trade event, aims to grow the country’s share of global travel in a sustainable way.
The total number of conferences held across the event will increase by 1,000 in 2023, and this year’s event will host a total of 222 trade-ready Scottish tourism businesses, including accommodation, visitor experiences and attractions. company participated.
Over the course of these meetings, they connected with approximately 260 travel intermediaries representing 23 countries, including North America, Europe, Asia Pacific and the UK domestic market, who plan trips to Scotland for their clients.
Their discussions will ensure that Scotland continues to feature in the portfolios of global travel companies and that our holiday offer continues to evolve and meet the demands of modern travellers.
This year’s regional participants included Simps Inns, Trump Turnberry, Galloway, Southern Ayrshire UNESCO Biosphere and Troon’s Marine Hotel.
In addition to travel trade events in Aberdeen, a specially selected educational travel program showcased the best of Ayrshire’s tourism offerings.
Crowfuldland Castle, Robert Burns Birthplace Museum and The Gales Hotel and Spa are among the companies that have hosted trips to the area.
