Fuengirola City Hall has published a Tourism Accessibility Guide, prepared by Ilunion Accessibility, which includes a list of hotels in the city with optimal conditions for welcoming people with reduced mobility.
The event took place as part of a training session on inclusive and accessible tourism, held at the city’s Ilunion Hotel, during which Mayor Ana Mura awarded badges to each hotel for their commitment to the accessibility of their destination and their consideration for members of the public with accessibility requirements.
“We embarked on an ambitious project to diagnose the town and develop a strategic plan for accessible tourism in order to implement the necessary measures to become a fully inclusive tourist destination,” Mura explained, adding that “the conclusions of this study will lead to a tourism accessibility guide, which, thanks to Ilunion’s efforts and in collaboration with the hotel sector, will provide visitors with the best possible information on this issue, which is becoming increasingly important when it comes to travel.”
