In the Best City category, Thailand’s Bangkok took the top spot for the second year in a row.
Japan stood out with three cities – Osaka, Tokyo and Kyoto – making it into the top five.
Hoi An in Vietnam has taken the sixth place, a position previously held by another Vietnamese city, Hanoi.
Last year’s Luxury Awards Asia Pacific named Vietnam’s Hanoi and Hue as the top contenders, but for 2024 only Hoi An made the list.
Located on Vietnam’s central coast, Hoi An is a UNESCO World Heritage Site with a well-preserved historic old town crisscrossed by canals, featuring strong influences from Vietnamese, Chinese and French architecture.
In the Best Integrated Resort category, Hoiana Resort & Golf in Hoi An took third place for the second year in a row.
Galaxy Macau took the top spot, followed by Australia’s Crown Perth.
Other hotels in the top five for best resorts include Sands Resort Macau and Resorts World Sentosa in Singapore.
The Travel + Leisure Luxury Awards Asia Pacific is an annual event celebrating excellence in travel and hospitality in the Asia Pacific region.
