The winners of the 2024 TAC Victorian Top Tourism City Awards have been announced, with Shepparton and Dookie named as finalists for the 2024 awards.

The top prize in the ‘Small Destination Town’ category went to Timboon, who won Gold, Arthur’s Seat, Silver and Koondrook, Bronze, giving Timboon the opportunity to represent Victoria in the Australian Top Destination City Awards.
In the “Top Tourism City” category, Bendigo won Gold, Warrnambool won Silver and Ballarat won Bronze. Bendigo will represent Victoria in the Australian Top Tourism City awards.
Greater Shepparton City Council Mayor Shane Sulli congratulated the winning destinations and praised the fantastic work of Dookie and Shepparton’s tourism industry and community in welcoming visitors and promoting the town.
“It was great to see the community get excited about the awards, vote, promote the area with their friends and family and connect with each other,” he said.
“These awards are a fantastic opportunity to raise the profile of Shepparton and Dookie as a tourism destination, both for the whole of Victoria and for our community. We know that visitors are always amazed by what the area has to offer and are eager to discover more. We encourage everyone to take a look at the available itineraries and come visit and explore.”

The TAC Top Tourism Awards were assessed based on Shepparton’s four day, three night itinerary and Dookie’s two day, one night itinerary, encouraging visitors to enjoy, interact and explore the vibrant communities and beautiful environments of Dookie and Shepparton.
