TripAdvisor today announced the 2024 Travelers’ Choice Hotel Awards, featuring winners from around the world.

The hotel is currently permanently moored in Leith, Edinburgh.
The Fingal in Edinburgh has been crowned a must-see in a number of categories, including being named the best small boutique hotel in the UK. It was ranked 2nd in Europe and 11th in the world in this category.
The floating hotel, once a Northern Lighthouse Committee ship, has also secured a top spot on the UK’s best luxury listings and is now a permanent fixture on Edinburgh’s vibrant Leith Waterfront.

Seven other Scottish hotels were recognized with the award.
An impressive five are in the UK’s top 25 small and boutique hotels, with Oban’s No.26 By The Sea coming in at number six. As the name suggests, it is located on the coastal promenade and has stunning views and luxurious rooms.
Meanwhile, Tay na Sugias Country House Hotel, located in the Highlands near Aviemore, is number 14. This magnificent hotel was once home to the Lipton Tea family and is set in stunning grounds in the heart of the Cairngorms National Park.
Cringlety House in the Borders came in 15th place, while Perth & Kinross also had two winners in this category. The Lands of Royal Hotel in Blairgowrie came in his 21st place, with newcomer Pitlochry’s Knockendaroch Hotel just behind it in his 23rd place.

Craigmhor Lodge & Courtyard, ranked 8th, is tucked away in the woods and offers luxurious rooms and suites.
Finally, Glencoe House in the Highlands has been named the 13th best luxury hotel in the UK.
