Even though there are no rides or roller coasters, it is visited by more than 2 million people a year.
The theme park, which opened Puy du Fou in Spain in 2019, is looking for a third location, which could be in the UK.
Estate agent Savills confirmed the park is looking for 300 to 400 acres of land across the country, and is currently looking within a 40-mile radius of Oxford.
Ian Simpson, head of Savills’ leisure and trade team, told the Oxford Mail:
“This operator is drawn to the UK by the richness and depth of its history and culture and we are delighted to support this group in their exploration.
“Experiential and immersive tourist attractions have become increasingly popular in the UK in recent years, and given the UK’s long history, this will be a unique experience for the British public.”
Puy du Fou, near Les Epes in western France, first opened in 1978.
The park reenacts medieval history, including Viking ship battles and kings’ battles for land.
Spain’s second park is located on the outskirts of the city of Toledo, just an hour’s drive from Madrid.
The park recreates 1,500 years of Spanish history through large-scale performances.
It’s not clear what the UK theme park will include.
The Sun recently visited a Spanish theme park located right on the beach. This theme park is cheaper than Disney and has the fastest rides in Europe.
And Chessington has announced plans for a new ride – here’s what you can expect.
