Sanur’s most beloved restaurant and cafe group has announced its expansion into new pastures.
Soul food fans are excited as the Soul Café team announces the opening of a new eatery in Bali’s fast-growing Uluwatu.
Soul Cafe Group is Sanur’s most famous cafe group, known for its all-time favorite restaurants and hangout spots Soul in a Bowl, Soul on the Beach, and Shotgun Social.
These venues have become beloved by tourists, Sanur expats, and locals alike for their airy, rustic interiors, welcoming service, and, of course, soulful food.
Soul Cafe Group is expanding to the Bukit Peninsula and bringing something new to the table.
Soul Waves combines the signature atmosphere of Soul Café with the upscale energy of Uluwatu, evoking the aesthetic of the surf scene that Uluwatu is so famous for.
Wayan Theurus, operations manager of Soul Café Group, told reporters, “Soul Waves will research the market trends in the Uluwatu area and surrounding areas, which will later become a selling point in the form of a restaurant concept. I hope so.”

In just a few short years, Soul Cafe Group has changed Sanur’s casual dining scene for the better and is poised for success in Uluwatu.
Soul Cafe Group opened its first restaurant in Sanur in 2015. Soul In A Bowl’s beachfront access, delicious international cuisine, and laid-back atmosphere have quickly made Soul In A Bowl one of the area’s premier diners for tourists.
Many tours purposefully sought out Soul in a Bowl, as the cafe is located along the Sanur Beach promenade, but take advantage of Soul in a Bowl’s all-day menu, which offers food for any occasion. Many passersby quickly became repeat customers.
Following the success of Soul In A Bowl in 2017, the team opened the now hugely popular Soul On The Beach restaurant.

Shotgun Social brings a new element to Soul Cafe Group’s offerings with a focus on family dining.

Soul Lovers in Bukit should keep an eye out for announcements, as Soul Waves’ opening date has yet to be revealed.
