TAIPEI, May 7, 2024 /PRNewswire/ — On May 6, 2024, the Taiwan Tourism Bureau officially launched version 3.0 of the Taiwan tourism brand called “TAIWAN – Waves of Wonder.” Featuring a mesmerizing wave-like design depicting the seasonal highlights of Taiwan travel, the new identity is supported by innovative brand elements such as short animations and a Taiwan tourism promotional song. The initiative aims to strengthen Taiwan’s efforts to attract more international tourists.

The launch event was graced by the attendance of Deputy Secretary-General Li Guoxin, Vice-Minister of Transportation Lin Kuo-hsiang, Director-General of Taiwan Tourism Bureau Chou Yong-hui, and other prominent industry representatives. and academia. Deputy Secretary General Li said the government has given high priority to the tourism sector, and the government will continue to support Taiwan’s revitalization through various initiatives and promote public-private cooperation to strengthen Taiwan’s tourism brand. He emphasized that there is. Vice-Minister Lin emphasized the revival of post-pandemic travel and future expansion of airport operations, hinting at an upgrade to Taiwan’s tourism image that promises a richer travel experience. Director Chou elaborated on the need for Taiwan’s tourism industry to keep pace with global trends and the demand for constant innovation. Since its reorganization, the Department of Tourism has focused on guiding the tourism industry towards sustainability and digitalization, creating superior travel experiences and pioneering services. The result is a new identification system that blends sophisticated modern aesthetics with global trends, increasing Taiwan’s visibility and international appeal, and propelling Taiwan towards its “Tourism 2030” strategic vision. doing.

Since 2011, the Taiwan Tourism Bureau has successfully promoted itself internationally under the brand “Taiwan – The Heart of Asia” and created an image of the heart of Asia. After 13 years and overcoming the challenges of the pandemic, the Taiwan Tourism Bureau will launch a new brand “TAIWAN – Waves of Wonder” in 2024. The new brand logo is a collaboration between Dentsu and Bito, founded by Liu Jianming. The design was led by Bito’s international award-winning design team, and was created to reflect the beauty of Taiwan’s mountains, strictly in line with the Taiwan Tourism Board’s marketing focus of “Enjoy the Mountains, Embrace the Sea, Explore the Islands”. It expresses the dynamic contours and charm of the sea. . The Taiwan tourism theme song was written and composed by famous musician Chris Hou, who has won the Golden Melody Award, Golden Horse Award, and Golden Chong Award, and this is the third time he has composed a Taiwan tourism theme song. The New Taiwan Tourism Brand Version 3.0 can be described as the coming together of Taiwan’s top talents from various industries, working together to shine.

The new Taiwan tourism brand logo integrates images of Taiwan’s mountains, ocean, winding roads, and railways, creating a design with a wave-like outline. Adopting the sunrise orange color, it not only inherits the warmth and vitality of the previous generation brand, but also symbolizes the future development of Taiwan tourism. Once upon a time, people searched for “travel destinations.” Currently, Taiwan is advocating “travel with a purpose.” Together with the “Taiwan Tourism Biennale,” this new brand focuses on seasonal themed travel, inviting international travelers to experience the charm of Taiwan all year round.

On the day of the new brand announcement, all 16 directors from the tourism board’s global offices will participate in the event. Tonight, Taipei 101 will unveil its new brand logo to international travelers for the first time.
