TAT Governor Tapanee Kiatpaibool said: “The event reflects the government’s ‘Revitalise Thailand Tourism’ vision, which encompasses several approaches to establish Thailand as a tourism hub. Part of the strategy includes five essential activities, including ‘Must Eat’, which leverages gastronomic tourism as a fun way for tourists to explore Thailand, helping to boost the local economy through culinary tours.”

The programme will include cooking shows by Star Chef Thailand winning chef Big Pripat Jaiwerattanakul, Chef Kao Vayo Nisatchanakan, Head of Cold Kitchen at Hilton Bangkok Grand Asoke, and many other up-and-coming chefs as well as local chefs from the community such as Ban Bang Rong and Ban Tao Cheng Talay.
Additionally, there will be musical performances by Thai artists such as Chart Suchart, Getsanova, Earth Patravi, Of Pongsak, Tammo The Voice and Zani Nipapol.
There will also be plenty of activities unique to each event location, including booths selling arts and crafts and the Thailand Tourism Awards booth showcasing award-winning sustainable businesses.
Through the Amazing Food Festival 2024 Facebook page, visitors can sign up for a day trip to explore the local community and experience the vital role it plays in supplying locally grown produce to the city’s shops and restaurants.
The event has been designed with sustainability in mind, with waste sorting stations set up throughout the event site and staff on hand to assist and encourage visitors to join in the drive to drive more sustainable tourism in Thailand.
“The Amazing Food Festival 2024 is expected to attract 50,000 visitors and generate revenue of 35 million baht at each of the three venues, contributing approximately 100 million baht to the Thai economy,” Ms Tapanee said.
