BEIJING, June 2 (Xinhua) — Shixia village in Beijing’s Yanqing District was first built during the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) and was once an important pass north of Juyongguan on the Great Wall.
In recent years, this village, surrounded by mountains, has seen the development of a tourism industry that takes advantage of the resources of the Great Wall, and it is now attracting tourists from all over the world.
