Australia’s largest annual tourism trade event, the Australian Tourism Exchange (ATE), will be held in Brisbane next year for the first time since 2007.
ATE25 will take place from 28 April 2025 to 1 May 2025 at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre and is delivered by Tourism Australia in partnership with Queensland Tourism and Events Authority, with support from Brisbane Economic Development.

Each year, ATE provides the Australian tourism industry with the opportunity to meet with tourism wholesalers and retailers from 30 countries around the world.
Federal Minister for Trade and Tourism Don Farrell said “As Queensland prepares to host the 2032 Olympic Games, it’s fantastic that ATE will return to Brisbane next year, connecting international buyers with local businesses and putting a head start on the Green and Gold Decade.”
Brisbane previously hosted the event in 2001 and 2002.
Tourism Australia Managing Director Philippa Harrison said Australia’s tourism industry is on the brink of a full recovery and the focus on ATE25 in Brisbane will help drive sustainable growth and propel the tourism industry forward.
“By the time ATE returns to Brisbane next year, we expect Australia’s tourism industry will have surpassed the 2019 figures we’ve used as a benchmark and will once again be firmly focused on the future,” she said.
