The study analyzed reviews across a variety of categories over a 12-month period for 1.6 million hotels on TripAdvisor Hotels.
This includes the best all-inclusive hotels, B&Bs, luxury resorts, and boutique hotels.

Britain’s best hotel was named The Resident in Covent Garden, London.
Inside there are just 57 rooms, each with a miniature kitchen equipped with a Nespresso machine and Brita filter tap.
Ranging from standard double rooms to luxurious junior suites that sleep up to 3 people.
Although there is no restaurant on site, a 24-hour front desk is available to assist you during your stay.
Guests can request in-room groceries or order room service from the Drinks & Snacks menu, but they can also order through an online food delivery app and have it delivered to their room.
Covent Garden has many restaurants nearby including Pizza Hut, Bella Italia and Five Guys.

Previous guests have raved about this hotel, with more than 1,700 reviews, almost all of them rated five stars.
Most people said that both the location and service were highlights and that they would stay again.
One said: “This little gem is in the middle of a small street, but don’t be fooled.
“The service is top notch, the rooms are kept clean and the equipment is up to date.”
A second person called it “a little haven in the middle of London.”
Another simply wrote: “Without a doubt the best hotel in London.”

TripAdvisor’s Best of the Best Hotel Awards also announced the world’s top hotels, with Brazil’s Hotel Colline de France taking first place.
No UK country made it into the top 10, with Indonesia, Mexico, Vietnam and the Maldives making up the majority.
The world’s best B&Bs also include Toulson Court in the UK in second place, with Highcliffe House and Gloucester House in sixth and eighth place respectively.
