After concluding the tour, the president of the Gastronomic Federation, Carlos Guillermo Aguirre Aguilar, highlighted the positive results and highlighted new commercial and tourist opportunities for Yucatán’s companies.
He said he met with the president and vice president of the Mexican-Brazilian Chamber of Commerce to discuss the new strengths that Yucatan has in the gastronomy and business sectors, with the aim of expanding business between Yucatan and Mexico.
According to Guillermo Aguirre, the possibility of establishing commercial relations with different sectors that are recovering in the state was also analyzed, such as software and services for restaurants, integrating attractive offers for expansion to other countries.

During his visit to the country, Carlos Guillermo said he met with Diana Pomar, CEO of DGX Tourism, head of Mexico’s Tourism Promotion Office in Brazil, to set up a working table and present the strengths and advantages of the country’s gastronomic industry.
Guillermo said that Yucatan gastronomy is essential for tourism and hospitality activities, an element that contributes to strengthening the state’s economy. The Yucatan Gastronomic Federation, in collaboration with different Brazilian travel agencies and tour operators, is working to promote and develop programs that contribute to the promotion of Yucatan’s tourist destinations, thus increasing the influx of Brazilians to the state’s tourist attractions, Aguirre Aguilar said.
