Bangkok, 18 July 2024: Minister of Tourism Sok Sokkeng led a delegation from the Cambodian Ministry of Tourism to attend the 3rd Cambodia-Thailand Bilateral Tourism Ministers’ Meeting to be held in Bangkok, Kingdom of Thailand on 17-18 July 2024. The event was held at the invitation of Thailand’s Minister of Tourism and Sports Sermsak Pornpanich.
Minister Sok Sok Keng and his delegation departed Cambodia on 17 July 2024. Upon arrival in Bangkok, Minister Sok Sok Keng had lunch at Liu Restaurant hosted by the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of Thailand. The luncheon was held as a prelude to a major bilateral meeting to be held at the Conrad Bangkok Hotel on 18 July 2024. The luncheon was hosted by Deputy Minister Pongpoom Wipatbhumiprathet and Secretary of State for Tourism and Sports Penpisut Jintasopong.
On the evening of 17 July 2024, Minister Sok Sokkeng attended a dinner hosted by Mr Sermsak Pongpanich at the Blue Elephant Restaurant. The Thai Minister of Tourism and Sports warmly welcomed the Cambodian delegation and stressed the importance of the bilateral meeting.
The third bilateral meeting between the Cambodian and Thai Tourism Ministers focused on strengthening tourism cooperation between the two countries, discussing strategies to promote mutual tourism and addressing challenges facing the tourism sector. The joint effort aims to strengthen tourism ties between Cambodia and Thailand, as well as promote economic growth and cultural exchange.
