PETERSBURG, WV – Eastern West Virginia Community & Technical College and South Branch Career & Technical Center have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to form a collaborative relationship. The agreement aims to provide high school students with a dual credit opportunity to earn a Hospitality & Tourism Management certificate from Eastern prior to graduating high school. These courses are transferable only for students who plan to continue on to Eastern College.
“Working with South Branch Career and Technical Center and having the opportunity to allow even more students to study toward a certification in hospitality and tourism management is crucial,” said Morgan Armentrout, Eastern’s hospitality and tourism management program specialist. “By combining our resources and expertise, we can prepare our graduates to meet the dynamic demands of the hospitality and tourism industry. Together, we can foster economic growth in the region and build a pipeline of skilled professionals ready to jump into the management side of the industry.”
