Minnesota Timberwolves guard Anthony Edwards, 5, reacts during the second quarter of Game 7 of the second round of the 2024 NBA Playoffs against the Denver Nuggets at Ball Arena.

The Minnesota Timberwolves are one of the most fun teams in the NBA right now. Featuring a phenomenal young star in Anthony Edwards, always-talented but often overlooked All-Star Karl-Anthony Towns, and defensive guru Rudy Gobert, he has a defensive back in seven Western Conference games. They were able to defeat the defending champion Denver Nuggets. Semi-finals.

It was a very fierce battle with both teams battling back and forth throughout the series. However, with a come-from-behind victory in Game 7, the Timberwolves celebrated advancing to the Western Conference Finals for the first time since 2004.

During the postgame celebration that followed, Edwards was interviewed by Inside the NBA host Charles Barkley, in which Barkley admitted he hadn’t been to Minnesota in “probably 20 years.” Edwards reacted immediately and told Barkley to “bring it to me.” [his] ah**. ”

This was a very aggressive reaction considering Berkeley was simply looking for some good places to eat when visiting, but it was also hilarious and exactly what you would expect from a competitor like Edwards. It was something that Unsurprisingly, the clip went viral, and Minnesota quickly benefited.

“Bring ya a**” could be the new slogan for the Minnesota Department of Tourism

It didn’t take long for Explore Minnesota Tourism, a company dedicated to bringing out-of-state people to the Land of 10,000 Lakes, to capitalize on this viral interview. The site has purchased the domain rights to bringyaass.com, and any NBA fan looking for interesting news about Anthony Edwards will have the opportunity to travel to his home state.

Minnesota Governor Tim Walz has also joined the movement, calling for the state’s official slogan to be changed from “L’Étoile du Nord” (French for “Star of the North”) to “Bring ya a**.” It seems they are considering it. It’s not as elegant, but it may have more cultural impact.

The history of Anthony Edwards’ love for Minnesota

It seems so. This is not the first time he has openly expressed his love for the country. In February, Edwards told Vanity Fair that the bright lights of Los Angeles and New York don’t suit her, arguing that those cities are “cool” but “not better than Minnesota.” did.
