Kruger National Park, South Africa (April 24, 2024) – SANParks Honorary Rangers support SANParks teams to keep national parks up to standard by donating benches, renovating buildings, supporting wildlife conservation efforts and more I am working hard to do so.

SANParks Honorary Rangers are a group of unpaid volunteers who volunteer their time to help conserve wildlife in South Africa’s national parks. Every region has an honorary ranger group.

A group of volunteers recently set out to collect traps in the Kruger National Park. A trap is an illegal means in animal hunting of capturing wild animals with a noose-like design made of various materials such as wire, cable, or rope, usually for the purpose of bushmeat or even illegal trade. Masu.

“SANParks Honorary Rangers volunteered their time and had another successful trapping weekend in Kruger National Park in April. Rain 🌧️, sun ☀️, laughter, tired legs but happy hearts.

Together, they removed a total of 185 traps and 1 predator cage, saving countless animal lives.

Organizers are very grateful to the volunteers from seven different regions who have participated over the past three Snare weekends. Thank you for choosing to join forces and make a real difference in conservation! ” – SANParks Honorary Ranger

Such activities can prevent further damage to indigenous wildlife. If you want to become an Honorary Ranger, all you have to do is volunteer your time. You can also support their efforts here.
