IHG Hotels & Resorts launches Apple AirPlay in North American hotels
IHG Hotels & Resorts (IHG) is launching AirPlay in the first phase of its hotel rooms, allowing guests to privately and securely stream content from their iPhone or iPad to their room TV. AirPlay is available at more than 60 of his hotels in North America, including the InterContinental Buckhead Atlanta, Hotel Indigo NYC Downtown-Wall Street, and Holiday Inn & Suites Ottawa Kanata.
IHG was the first hospitality company to offer AirPlay functionality as part of the in-room entertainment experience. With AirPlay, IHG provides seamless connectivity that improves the overall guest experience and increases guest satisfaction. Guests can simply scan her QR and connect to her Wi-Fi network in the hotel to enjoy a personalized entertainment experience. Each QR code is unique, so the guest’s content remains personal and private and is only streamed to his LG hotel TV in the room.
“When people travel, whether they want to watch their favorite show or finish a movie they started, they can do so from the comfort of their own home,” said Jolie Fleming, chief product and technology officer at IHG Hotels & Resorts. We know you want to take it with you, and as the first hospitality company to integrate AirPlay, IHG Hotels & Resorts further personalizes the guest experience, giving guests a seamless and secure in-room TV experience whether they’re traveling for business or leisure. We are leading the effort to make content enjoyable. This product will definitely become your favorite feature and create an at-home entertainment environment like never before.”
