BHOPAL: Madhya Pradesh Tourism has been awarded the ‘Best State Promotion Fairs & Festivals Award’ and ‘Best State Promotion Domestic Tourism Award’ at the recently held International Tourism Congress & Travel Awards (ITCTA) in New Delhi. The Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board (MPTB) has received national recognition for its exceptional efforts in promoting the state’s tourist attractions and offering experiential tourism through its annual festivals. Commenting on this achievement, Sheo Shekhar Shukla, Principal Secretary & Managing Director, Tourism and Culture, Madhya Pradesh Tourism said, “We are extremely grateful for this award. “This award is a recognition of MPT’s success in highlighting the tourism potential and cultural richness of the state. The annual festivals are a special treat for travel enthusiasts. The idea behind the conception of these festivals is to highlight the enchanting blend of the state’s rich history, exquisite nature, architectural wonders and captivating cultural experiences.” Ms. Bidisha Mukherjee, Deputy Managing Director, Madhya Pradesh Tourism, accepted the award on behalf of MP Tourism. She said, “MPT has been conferred this honour on the basis of its strong track record in the areas of tourism, infrastructure development, economic development of local communities and preservation of the state’s culture and heritage. The annual festivals held in Madhya Pradesh are adrenaline-pumping events that offer a wealth of exciting activities to satisfy travellers.”
