A new tourism promotion effort for Nassau County is being launched this week, spearheaded by RRDA, the Glen Head-based advertising and marketing firm that currently promotes the county as a tourist destination.
The “Explore More” tourism campaign includes branding, a website and social media initiatives designed to showcase the county’s beaches, arts and culture, historic sites, restaurants, shopping, events and more to locals and visitors.
For this campaign, the RRDA has partnered with US Coachways to operate “More to Explore” branded buses. Starting June 29th, on Saturdays and Sundays through Labor Day, the buses will pick up visitors in Midtown Manhattan and take them directly to their destinations in Nassau. These destinations include Long Beach, Americana Manhattan and Museum Row. Tickets are $25 and can be purchased here.
“With this campaign, we wanted to highlight what is unique about Nassau County,” RRDA Owner and Managing Director Jaime Hollander said in a news release about the campaign.
“Our color palette is taken from the coats of arms of three towns and two cities in Nassau County to ensure this is central to every element of the campaign,” Hollander added. “We want local businesses and residents to be proud of this campaign and feel like they are a part of every part of it.”
The campaign highlights the county’s “diverse charm” and aims to “connect people to the experiences, activities and events that are right for them. Whether it’s a week, a day or even just a few hours, we’re committed to giving people experiences that leave them with unforgettable memories because there truly is “so much more to explore” in Nassau County, Hollander said.
The new campaign comes as the county celebrates its 125th anniversary – it hosted the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup earlier this month and is set to host the Ryder Cup in 2025.
