Are you looking for the best places to travel in Europe? People all over the world are too.

As summer gets into full swing across Europe, popular holiday destinations are struggling to cope with the influx of visitors. From Venice, which just introduced a controversial tourist tax, to Spain’s Canary Islands, where locals are planning massive protests against overtourism, iconic landmarks and attractions are struggling to bear the weight of record-breaking visitors.

So Europe’s Best Destinations’ new list of Europe’s Best Hidden Gems for 2024 has come at the perfect time.
