Onyx Hospitality Group has launched its second roadshow event, this time in China, aimed at targeting the country’s booming tourism sector and further strengthening the group’s existing links with the Chinese market.
The roadshow will kick off on May 27th and run until May 31st in four major cities – Beijing, Shanghai, Chengdu and Guangzhou – providing a dynamic platform for networking, insightful presentations and collaborative discussions.

The focus of the 2024 Roadshow will be to unveil the diverse offerings of Onyx’s Thailand properties while showcasing the progress made since last year. Properties in Thailand that cater to the Chinese market include Amari Pattaya, Amari Bangkok, Amari Phuket, OZO Phuket, Shama Lakeview Asoke Bangkok and Shama Yenakat Bangkok.
In addition to its Thailand properties, Onyx will also be showcasing its latest updates and developments, as well as its expansion plans across Thailand and Malaysia, including Shama Rayong (Thailand), Shama Suasana Johor Bahru (Malaysia), Ozo Medini (Malaysia), Shama Hub Metro South Hong Kong and Shama Hub Qiantang Hangzhou, as well as the planned opening of Amari Vientiane in Laos.
With borders with China opening up in early 2023, Onyx Hospitality Group has been actively implementing strategies within the market to attract Chinese tourists back to Thailand. As a result, for the first time since the pandemic, China is once again Onyx’s largest source market.
Yuthachai Charanachitta, CEO of Onyx Hospitality Group, said, “We are excited to host our first roadshow in China, a market with great potential for tourism growth. We believe this roadshow will be a major step in building closer cooperation and opening up new opportunities for mutual success. Through this event, we are excited to showcase our latest developments and showcase our premier properties in the Chinese market.”
Earlier this April, Onyx Hospitality Group held its first roadshows in Seoul and Busan, South Korea, to promote inbound travel to Thailand.
