BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – Regional tourism bureaus including Warren County and surrounding areas are teaming up to launch the first-ever Western Kentucky Wine Trail.
Six tourism bureaus have compiled a list of nine western Kentucky wineries to complete the trail, including Blue Grass Vineyards (Warren County), Buckhorn Creek Vineyards (Marshall County), Carriage House Vineyards (Logan County), Fancy Farm Vineyards & Winery (Graves County), Naimoli Estate (Christian County), Poca Terra Winery (Marshall County), Purple Toad Winery (McCracken County), Reed Livery Winery (Warren County) and Travelers Cellar Winery (Warren County).
All participants can pick up a passport booklet at wine trail locations or tourist offices along the trail and have their passport stamped at each stop.
“We’re excited to visit the other wineries and see what else they have to offer,” said Madison Lindsay, marketing director for the Bowling Green Area Convention and Visitors Bureau. “They’re all a little different and they make great wines, award-winning wines. All three of the wineries here have won great awards, and other places on the trail have won great awards.”
Participants who visit all nine locations and collect all of their stamps between the 20th and 24th will receive a wine glass and be entered into a grand prize drawing.
