Saudi Arabia’s quality of life program will create over 925,000 jobs in tourism in 2023

Saudi Arabia’s Quality of Life Program has achieved several goals in line with Vision 2030, including creating more than 925,000 jobs in the tourism sector alone in 2023. The program continues to meet its goals and initiatives and will exceed some of its Vision 2030 goals in the future. of the schedule.

In recent years, Saudi Arabia has seen a transformative leap forward in the field of culture and tourism, with significant economic benefits. The program has played a vital role in supporting and empowering direct and indirect investments, projects and training programs that have benefited thousands of young people.

Investing in human capital

With more than 30 programs focused on qualifications, training and scholarships in various cultural fields, the Quality of Life Program has made a significant contribution to job creation in this sector. Initiatives such as the R181 million Cultural Development Fund and support for film projects further stimulate cultural initiatives. Additionally, infrastructure development, including the restoration of more than 100 heritage sites and the enhancement of museums, underscores Saudi Arabia’s commitment to preserving its rich cultural heritage. Additionally, the program achieved the inscription of seven of his sites on the UNESCO World Heritage List. The latest is the cultural Hima region of Najran.

Media initiatives

Saudi Arabia’s Quality of Life Program’s media efforts, particularly those related to community awareness campaigns and the fight against drug abuse, are consistent with the strategic objective of building community resilience. Additionally, the increase in media outlets and local publications reflects the program’s commitment to promoting diverse voices and stories. As a result, his 165 media companies were enrolled in the program, exceeding his target of 150 companies. The number of local publications reached 5,668 books, which exceeded his 2023 goal by 196%. The economic impact was particularly large in tourism, with more than 925,460 jobs created in the country. This will happen in 2023 alone, thanks to various initiatives led by the Ministry of Tourism.

Regional development and megaprojects

The Quality of Life Program highlights the relative advantages that characterize regions of Saudi Arabia, including the Tabuk region. Additionally, historic tourist destinations and mega-projects such as NEOM, Red Sea and Amara play a major role in enhancing economic activity and stimulating various quality of life sectors such as tourism, entertainment, culture and sports. It also mentions that it is abundant.

The Tabuk region is at the center of a quality of life program that includes multiple initiatives, including urban design, parks, promenades, and increasing the proportion of public spaces. Regarding sports, King Khalid Sports City was developed to host sporting events, with the National Cricket Championship in the Tabuk region leading the program. On the cultural front, the program developed and operated the Crafts Center of the Tabuk Regional Museum to improve the quality of life for all people in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
