Anne Kelly Fontenelle Clark has been appointed the new Chief Executive Officer of the St. Kitts Tourism Board.
Her appointment will be effective from July 1.
The tourism board said Fontenelle Clark will lead St. Kitts’ international marketing efforts, focusing on areas such as travel industry and airline relations.
She will also prioritise the romance and MICE markets with a focus on leisure and cruises, with the goal of increasing the economic benefits from tourism across the island.
Tourism Minister Marcia Henderson expressed her excitement about Fontenelle-Clark joining the organisation.
“Fontenelle Clark’s extensive experience over more than 25 years in the tourism and events management sector, particularly in the Caribbean travel and romance market, is truly commendable,” Henderson said.
“She has a proven track record of transforming organizations and tourism authorities into industry leaders through innovative strategies, collaborative partnerships and outstanding results. I am confident that under her leadership, we will continue to increase air and cruise passenger demand to St. Kitts and contribute to the continued growth of the tourism sector.”
Fontenelle Clark said she looks forward to putting her vast experience to work for St. Kitts.
“St. Kitts has demonstrated incredible resilience post-pandemic and emerged as a premier travel destination on the world stage,” said Fontenelle Clark. “We look forward to continuing to pursue creative strategies to raise the profile of St. Kitts, expand into new markets, continue to draw romance-seekers to the island and ensure that St. Kitts remains a top choice for all travelers.”
A native of St. Lucia, Fontenelle Clark was the Marketing Director for the U.S. market for the St. Lucia Tourism Board.
The tourism department said that during her tenure, it has rolled out targeted initiatives that have contributed significantly to the positive growth of Saint Lucia’s tourism industry.
She also played a key role in developing the St. Lucia Expert (SLEx) loyalty program, which has led to significant growth for the brand’s agents in less than five years.
