State park celebrates 100th anniversary with special event

Kentucky State Parks continues to celebrate its 100th anniversary with a series of events in April.
Cumberland Falls State Resort Park will host its annual American Indian Heritage Weekend Friday through Sunday. The event will feature educational presentations, hands-on workshops, children’s crafts, authentic craft sales, storytelling, and music, with the aim of celebrating the history and culture of the First Nations of the Cumberland Plateau. etc. will be provided. The event is free and open to the public.
Camping enthusiasts can look forward to Camper Appreciation Weekend, which runs from April 26th to April 28th. Campers can attend his two-night camp for the price of one night, and also have the opportunity to participate in fun activities such as guided hikes, treasure hunts, and crafts for kids. more. To wrap up April, My Old Kentucky Home will host a free event featuring 2020 Kentucky Derby Festival Poster Artist Amy Griffith on April 28th at 11 a.m. Griffith will conduct live painting demonstrations, and attendees will have the opportunity to interact with the artist and purchase her prints.
