CHICAGO, June 29, 2024 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — Taiwan Tourism Bureau has unveiled its new brand version 3.0 with the tagline “Taiwan – Waves of Wonders.” From now through August 18, commuters traveling between O’Hare International Airport and downtown Chicago on Chicago’s CTA Blue Line will experience a whole new side of Taiwan tourism through vibrant displays showcasing Taiwan’s diverse charms and rich cultural history.
Taiwan officially launched its new Tourism Brand 3.0 in May with a redesigned TAIWAN logo inspired by wave lines and in orange to symbolize the sunrise, representing Taiwan’s stunning mountains, seas, winding roads and railways. The design concept aims to highlight Taiwan’s year-round travel appeal and convey that every season is tourist season in Taiwan. Taiwan’s unique charm promises to bring constant waves of surprises to travelers from all over the world.
In addition to the two CTA trains wrapped with Taiwan Tourism Bureau wrapping, this collaboration with EVA Air will also feature two EVA Air wrapped carriages on the Blue Line. From now until July 4, 2024, EVA Air will run a special promotion to commemorate the launch of the CTA Rail Project. Using the code CHITW24, passengers can purchase tickets from Chicago to Asia for outbound flights between July 16, 2024 and November 30, 2024. In addition, EverFun Holidays will also offer free airport transfers and other benefits during the promotion period to encourage travel to Taiwan.
“EVA Air operates direct flights to Taiwan from Chicago seven days a week, and Taiwan’s High Speed Rail, Taiwan Island Railway, Taiwan Tour Bus and Taiwan Tourist Shuttle all offer a variety of discounts, making domestic travel in Taiwan very convenient,” said Chuang Jingzhen, director of the Taiwan Tourism Bureau’s New York office.
“We offer a free half-day tour to transit passengers stopping over in Taiwan,” adds Chuang. “Taiwan not only boasts abundant natural beauty and diverse cultural experiences, but also offers exquisite cuisine, from Michelin-recommended restaurants to famous night market snacks, a safe environment and friendly locals. International travellers are warmly welcomed to explore Taiwan’s stunning scenery, delicious food and vibrant culture!”
Chicago TECO President Dennis Lay emphasized that Taiwan and Chicago share a vibrant democracy, a thriving economy and a rich cultural life, and he hopes that the decorated train cars will promote tourism in Taiwan and showcase the country as a convenient Asian travel hub.
