“In the global tourism industry, where traveler footprints are becoming larger and larger, sustainability has become more than just a preference but a necessity,” said Suet Ki Chu, innovative CEO of Global Linkers Travel Limited . This thought-provoking statement encapsulates the deep coexistence of innovation and sustainability.

Travel has undergone significant changes in recent years due to increased awareness of its impact on the environment and culture. The journey never stops, but neither does Mother Nature’s spiral.

As the world grapples with the challenges of climate change and cultural preservation, Chu’s work is part of a movement that reconciles the thrill of exploration with the principles of sustainability. Global Linkers Travel Limited is a change-maker in these turbulent times, setting the course for green tourism.

Developing geotourism with indigenous wisdom

“Our goal is not just to get people from point A to point B, but to educate people and ensure that travel is meaningful and benefits both travelers and host communities. That’s it,” Chu explains.

In an ambitious effort to combine tourism with ecological and cultural conservation, Mr Chew partnered with Aboriginal landowners in Australia’s Torres Strait Islands. The collaboration aims to encourage tourists to respect and celebrate their indigenous traditions by offering them an immersive experience.

Travelers are traditionally drawn to popular destinations that are talked about for their beauty. Chu flips the script by disseminating information about authentic Indigenous landmarks that embody a rich cultural and geological heritage. Curated by Chu and her dedicated team, the unique itineraries not only give you the chance to snap the perfect photo and garner likes and shares on social media, but also sharpen your cultural knowledge and explore the world. It’s also a great way to see the biggest secrets on the map.

Connecting cultures through sports, education, and music

Ms. Chu’s impact on the tourism industry is largely due to her ability to reinvent norms and connect high-value Asian travelers with global tourist attractions that shine in terms of their geographic and ecological value. .

For example, Chu tried out for the 2023 JC Cup. The Asia-Pacific U-11 Soccer Tournament, held in Nagoya, Japan, symbolizes her belief that sport is a powerful vehicle for cultural exchange. By bringing together young athletes from diverse backgrounds, Mr. Chu facilitates a unique learning experience that goes beyond the traditional tourist itinerary and fosters collaboration among participants from around the world, including China, Hong Kong, and Japan. We developed understanding and friendship.

Without any art form being in the limelight, Chu also showcased her extraordinary event management skills at Charmaine Fung’s London concert titled “How Are You London”? The musical event was an emotional success, bringing Cantopop singer-songwriter and actor Charmaine Fong to a European audience.

An award-winning approach to travel

No good deed goes unrewarded. In 2022, Ms Chu received the Hong Kong Best Service Award from CORPHUB, an international media platform for Asian businesses.

Another highlight of her was her attendance at the Smart App Awards 2022/2023. Organized by the Hong Kong Wireless Technology Industry Association and sponsored by Create Hong Kong, the event attracted innovative winners and participants from across Asia.

A global imperative for sustainable and responsible tourism

“Challenges impede the path to sustainable tourism, but it is a journey worth taking. With each step, we learn, adapt and grow more determined,” Chu says of future hurdles. I say, admitting it. Her vision for the future as an industry disruptor is to adapt to change, shape it and ensure tourism remains a force for good.
