The news came after investigators said they had recovered the bodies of three people believed to be missing tourists, according to reports on Friday afternoon.
Australian brothers Jake and Callum Robinson and their friend Carter Lord from the United States were reported missing on Saturday, April 27, after they failed to show up at their accommodation in Baja California.
Baja California Attorney General Maria Elena Andrade said on Saturday: “All three bodies meet the characteristics that lead to a high probability that they are the American Carter Lord and the Australian Robinson brothers.” Stated.

The tragic discovery was made in La Bocana, a popular fishing and camping destination near Ensenada, CBS8 reports.
The Baja California Attorney General has not yet officially announced the news.

On Thursday, authorities announced the arrest of three Mexican nationals, one woman and two men. The woman was found in possession of a mobile phone containing a photo matching the description of one of the men, the Sydney Morning Herald reported.
Jake went to visit his brother in the United States, and the three headed south of the border to Ensenada, a city popular with tourists but also known for cartel violence, the brothers’ families said.

The charges come as Baja California Attorney General María Elena Andrade Ramirez said Thursday that evidence found in the tent was “linked” to three people being questioned about the missing foreigners. It was carried out in response to the She further added that she has “a lot of important information that cannot be made public.”
A top prosecutor told reporters that “very important time was lost” in the search for the three men because authorities were not immediately notified.

Callum’s parents, Australian brothers Martin and Debra Robinson, told 9News in a statement that Callum lives in the United States to pursue his dream of becoming a professional lacrosse player.
“He is widely known as the Big Koala in the United States,” they told the outlet. “We think of him as a soft, friendly giant.”
The parents were reportedly heading to the area to be closer to the search operation.
“Callum and Jake are beautiful human beings. We love them so much and it breaks our hearts,” the couple said.
Both US and Australian authorities told The Independent they stood ready to assist the investigation in any way necessary.
