Brno’s tourism company Brno Tourist Information Center (TIC Brno) has received five national awards in recent months for its achievements in tourism-related projects, particularly for its Brno Christmas campaign. Specifically, TIC Brno’s awards ranged from the Tourism Award and the Turistpropag Award, winning awards in various categories.
The Tourism Awards are announced every year by the Czech communications agency COT Group in cooperation with ABF, the organizer of the international tourism fair “Holiday World & Region World”.
The Turistpropag Award is organized by Pruh Polabí, sro in cooperation with the Czech Association of Tourist Information Centers, Risa nad Labem Exhibition Center, Czech Association of Travel Agents, Czech Tourism Federation and the Municipality of Risa nad Labem.
“We are very happy to have won all the awards,” said TIC Brno Director Jana Janurikova. “Christmas in Brno was not only a success on the international stage, with Brno winning European Capital of Christmas 2024, but its individual elements were also evaluated very favorably by the Czech Independent Jury . We supported Brno’s Christmas marketing communication, well represented by the Christmas design installation #drakNAHAKU, the Dragon of Brno, which won first place in the category “Innovative Marketing Communication” at the Tourism Awards. ”
The Brno Christmas mobile application won first place in the “Application” category at the Turistpropag Awards. “We are gradually developing and improving this app for the second year,” she added. “We enjoy developing our presentations with a passion for Brno and local specificities in mind.”
The entire collection of local souvenirs for Christmas in Brno, involving local artists, designers and manufacturers, won third place in the “Best Sustainable Project” category at the Tourism Awards. Examples include glasses created by glassmaker Ota Svoboda from the Glassfictions studio, mugs designed by Jiří Hlušička and made at the Goldfinger porcelain factory in Brno, and handmade ornaments from the Tamasvi workshop.

TIC Brno’s promotional products also impressed the judges of the Turistpropag competition. His Christmas candle collection of three Brno icons from Knot Knot Candles won him third place in the “Other promotional items” category. The candles took the form of his three iconic landmarks in Brno.
