Tourism Ireland is launching a sales offensive into the US this week with a delegation from 13 Irish tourism companies and four US travel companies, Aer Lingus and Delta.
The ‘Best of Ireland’ sales mission will visit major US cities including Cleveland, Cincinnati, Minneapolis-St Paul and Chicago.
The schedule includes B2B events in each city and features interactive presentations showcasing participating Irish businesses participating in hundreds of meetings with travel professionals from Ireland and the US.
This is a valuable opportunity to inspire and influence US travel agents, helping them deliver more regional and extended stay business in Ireland in 2024 and beyond.
Tourism Ireland will also highlight increased air access to Dublin from Minneapolis St Paul with Aer Lingus and Delta, as well as direct flights from Cleveland and Chicago with Aer Lingus.
Alison Metcalfe, Director of North America at Tourism Ireland, said: “This week’s ‘Best of Ireland’ sales missions to Cleveland, Cincinnati, Minneapolis-St Paul and Chicago are a great opportunity to connect Ireland’s tourism partners with major travel destinations in the US. “We provide a great platform to connect professionals.” To inform and influence travel professionals about what Ireland has to offer and, importantly, to encourage them to include the destination in their future programs and recommend it to their customers. ”
“In addition to highlighting increased air access to Dublin from Minneapolis-St. vacation in Ireland.
“The United States remains a very important market for tourists to the island of Ireland, the most important market in terms of revenue and the second largest market in terms of visitor numbers. They tend to stay longer, spend more time, and tour our region more extensively.”
A similar “Best of Ireland” sales mission visited Austin, Dallas, Phoenix and Denver in February.
