The holiday season is upon us, and if there’s one thing that can bother you, it’s that vacation destinations are crowded with overpriced food and drinks.

I think you can relate, because it’s happened to all of us. You finally got a well-deserved vacation, but it wasn’t everything you wanted because of the annoying people and the price of almost everything.

Here are some tips on where you can go without the crowds. You can relax, browse, eat and drink, have fun, hike, fish, explore museums, or simply unwind.

According to waytostay.com, there are some great ideas for a beautiful vacation with or without kids.

If you’re looking for a quiet long weekend or vacation in New Hampshire, there’s a lovely town in the White Mountains called Sugar Hill. It boasts stunning views of the White Mountains National Park and has plenty of small-town charm.

According to TripAdvisor.com, Sugar Hill Inn, Polly’s Pancake Parlor, and Inn at Sunset Hill are all great places to eat, and there are also cozy lodgings to spend the night in. Ski slopes and gastropubs are nearby, allowing you to relax in this area.

There are golf courses, history museums and Kibitz country stores in the surrounding area.

Stockbridge, Massachusetts is located in the Berkshire Mountains and is an ideal town filled with art, food, and music. Everything is laid back and you can feel the culture while relaxing.

Stockbridge’s most famous attraction is the Norman Rockwell Museum. Here you can relive your childhood with the world’s largest collection of paintings and drawings by iconic artists.

There’s also the charming Red Lion Inn. Founded in 1773 as a small tavern, this inn has grown into a world-class resort offering top-notch dining. It’s also home to the world-famous National Shrine of Divine Mercy, a Catholic shrine in a tranquil setting.

Both destinations are customized for relaxation and enjoyment. Just don’t tell too many people.

Are you ready to be on top of the world in New Hampshire? Here’s your chance.

Searles Castle is the largest single-family home in Massachusetts, but it wasn’t once a single-family home. Wait until you read who owns it now and how big it is.
