Valencia CF and TM Group Inmobiliario, in collaboration with LALIGA, Sport + Vitality and the Tour de España, have organised a new international conference in Eindhoven (Netherlands) to discuss the importance of sustainable tourism, which is key to the present and future of both countries.

The day concluded the international tour carried out by Valencia CF and TM Group Inmobiliario, outstanding companies in the responsible housing, hotel and holiday tourism sector and specialists in the construction and promotion of homes on the Mediterranean and Caribbean coasts, together with various collaborating companies from all over Europe.

Speakers included Rafael Lopez, Global Business Development Manager at Valencia CF, Jorge Brey, Head of the European Office at TM Grupo Inmobiliario, Ignacio Valle, Head of the Spanish Tourism Board in the Netherlands, Andrea Oriol Vasse, Head of the LALIGA Global Network Benelux, and Arno Hermans, Co-founder of Sport+Vitality, who spoke about different strategic approaches to sustainability and its application in different sectors.

Valle stressed the importance of implementing a sustainable model in the tourism sector: “We promote international tourism to our country, in a market as important as the Netherlands. For many years, at Tour Espana, we have been focusing on the sustainability of our tourism model, ensuring that tourist flows help make our model more sustainable. At this event, experts from different fields jointly reflected on this challenge that we share.”

Oriol, Benelux Head of the LALIGA Global Network, described the series of international conferences focusing on sustainable tourism as a success, saying: “We have had some very satisfying events, but this last one in Eindhoven demonstrated the commitment of LaLiga, Valencia CF and TM Grupo Inmobiliario to international expansion and their commitment to sustainable development.”

Valencia CF’s Lopez praised the framework of this latest international conference, saying: “For Valencia CF, it is pleasing to be able to take part in this event at PSV Eindhoven’s iconic stadium, as part of the international strategy we are developing with our main global partner, TM Group Inmobiliario. It is important that tourism stakeholders come together to discuss sustainability and its potential to add value to the tourism industry and link it with professional football.”

Hermans, co-founder of Sport + Vitality, highlighted the transformative power of sectors such as sport, tourism, entertainment and construction, and the collaboration these sectors need to drive change and create a more sustainable future: “Together we are making history, building a sustainable approach that can be applied to sport, tourism and many other sectors. This should be something to be proud of in the future we are building.”

Finally, Jorge Blay from TM Grupo Inmobiliario reflected: “It is amazing how important sustainability issues are for sectors as diverse as tourism, construction and sport, and how the international tour, which visited Luxembourg, Stockholm and Eindhoven, received such a great response.”
