Senate Majority Leader Kenneth L. Gittens also spoke highly of Richards’ impact, noting her sharp intellect and hard work. “I was very saddened to learn of her passing,” Gittens said. He recalled Richards’ effective leadership during her time as executive director of the 29th Congress, highlighting her role in implementing reforms and advocating for employees.

Lt. Governor Tregenza Roach shared his personal memories of Richards, describing her as a trusted friend and visionary leader. “Pamela was my trusted friend and I admired and respected her dynamic, visionary and creative leadership,” he said. The Lt. Governor recalled their longstanding friendship and her passionate commitment to community service.

First and foremost, Pamela Richards was my friend,” said Congresswoman Stacey Plaskett. She praised Richards for her contributions to the Virgin Islands community in many capacities and fondly remembered her contributions to cultural development in the Virgin Islands.
