FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) – On Thursday, Visit Fort Wayne held its first “Power of Tourism” event celebrating Allen County’s hospitality services.
Thursday, May 9th, 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Visit Fort Wayne held its first “The Power of Tourism” event at the Parkview Miro Center.
Visit Fort Wayne said its “Power of Tourism” event will include tourism industry speakers, hospitality awards and keynote speaker John Morris.
This year’s ‘Power of Tourism’ Hospitality Awards include:
Thomas C. Henry Destination Development Award Rising Star Award Service Excellence Award Hospitality Leadership Award Diversity Champion Award Power of Tourism Award
The winners of the annual ‘Power of Tourism’ Hospitality Awards are:
Todd Ramsey, Silverado Properties LLC – Thomas C. Henry Destination Development Award Johnny Perez, Te Gusto Hospitality – Rising Star Award Samantha Strickland, Embassy Theater – Excellence in Service Award Brooke Colvin, Hilton Fort Wayne – Hospitality Leadership Award Turnstone – Diversity Champion Award Rick Scheitman, Fort Wayne Children’s Zoo – Tourism Power Award
Allen County hospital services receive approximately 8.8 million visitors and generate $995 million in annual spending, according to Visit Fort Wayne.
