World Travel and Tourism Council and IC Bellagio have partnered to launch a new consumer campaign focused on community-conscious travel and how responsible tourism positively impacts the communities that travelers visit each year. We are raising awareness of what is possible.
The campaign will launch in earnest ahead of the busy 2024 summer travel season and will feature video-based storytelling across social media platforms.
Community Conscious Travel takes Italy as its first case study, showcasing the positive impact of tourism in preserving cultural heritage, and also providing recommendations on how travelers can visit Italy in a more responsible way. The campaign focuses on how responsible tourism can be better for both the tourists who visit and the residents who live there, by making small, thoughtful changes, such as traveling in the off-season. .
