Craft and vendor show will be held in Milford on Saturday

MILFORD — Leap of Faith Events is ready to light up town for shoppers Saturday with a craft and vendor fair.

The event, in conjunction with Fur Baby Pet Resort, will be held from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

“We have close to 40 different vendors,” says Jennifer Parnell of Leap of Faith. “I’ll have a little bit of everything.”

For example, sellers offer homemade jewelry, crocheted creations, customized tumblers, woodwork, and more, to name a few.

Breakfast and lunch will be sold at various stands including Rita’s, I Love the Plate and Philly Pretzel Factory.

Parnell said it will be a good opportunity to enjoy the spring weather and bring people together.

“It would be so fun to get out and talk to the neighbors,” she said. “This is one of the first opportunities for Milford to be able to get out and stretch its arms and meet people it hasn’t seen all winter.”

And with the city council election on April 27 and a statewide vote later this year, some candidates will be visiting to greet shoppers, Parnell added.

“This gives the community an opportunity to get involved, talk to residents, ask questions and make suggestions about how we, as constituents, would like to run our city,” she said.

One of Leap of Faith’s main goals is to open up ways for small businesses to showcase their products and services. Parnell understands the value of the work of artisans, and she said she wants others to show support for local organizations like she has.

“We love being able to provide an opportunity for small businesses, locals and even hobbyists to get out and sell their products,” she continued. “All of my vendors have their own stories and their own reasons for selling their products.”

The event will be held at Fur Baby, 301 NE Front St. Participation is free and pets are welcome.
