Radisson Hotel Group Marks 35 Years of Environmental Leadership in 2023 Business Report

Radisson Hotel Group has released its 2023 Responsible Business Report to commemorate 35 years since pioneering the hospitality industry’s first environmental policy. This report outlines the Group’s ongoing commitment to sustainability and details its key achievements in its mission to become net zero by 2050.

This year’s report highlights Radisson’s progress in three key areas: Think People, Planet and Community. This highlights the Group’s strategic efforts to strengthen its sustainability practices and meet growing consumer demand for environmentally friendly travel options. Radisson Hotel Group has made significant progress since 2019, including a 35% reduction in carbon dioxide emissions per square meter, in line with its ambitious goal of reducing greenhouse gas emissions by 46% by 2030. I accomplished it.

Gonzalez, Executive Vice Chairman of Radisson Hotel Group, emphasized the integration of sustainability and the company’s strategic vision. “Sustainability is more than just a commitment, it is a core aspect of our five-year strategic plan and goes hand-in-hand with advancing our vision as a meaningful brand for our guests, owners and people. We are committed to growing sustainable travel and integrating it as an essential part of our business across 10 of our major brands,” he said.

The report also highlights the group’s active role beyond its business boundaries, joining industry-wide initiatives such as ‘The Path to Net Positive Hospitality’ and ‘Fundamentals of Hotel Sustainability’. Focused. Radisson is a signatory to the Glasgow Declaration, supporting the nature positive vision and positioning itself as a leader in driving sustainability transformation in the hospitality industry.

Key findings of the 2023 report:


Thinking about people: Radisson Hotel Group remains committed to diversity and inclusion, offering extensive training and development opportunities and logging more than 1.5 million hours in 2023. The group maintained an overall team member engagement score of 83%, and women in leadership roles increased to 32% of them.



Think Community: Our commitment to community engagement is demonstrated through 36,700 volunteer hours and significant contributions to organizations such as SOS Children’s Villages International and Just a Drop, impacting thousands of lives around the world. is given.



Think Planet: Radisson is making significant progress towards its environmental goals, with 67 hotels using 100% renewable electricity and all meetings fully carbon compensated, offsetting 87,000 tonnes of carbon since 2019 doing.


Additionally, Radisson continues to expand its infrastructure for sustainable travel, including installing 970 electric vehicle charging stations on-site.
