The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) and online travel platform Fliggy have signed a Letter of Intent (LOI) to strengthen their partnership in promoting Thai tourism and improving the Thai travel experience for Chinese tourists.
The LOI formalizes the partnership between TAT and Fliggy and further strengthens cooperation in several areas.
TAT and Fliggy will set up special travel plans and an all-day Chinese customer service hotline for Chinese travelers.
The two parties plan to identify pilot locations and leverage technology to promote “smart scenic spots” and improve the experience for Chinese tourists. In addition, the two companies will also work together to develop and promote Thailand’s emerging destinations, which are referred to as “potential hidden gems”.
LOI will also consider this strategic collaboration on promotional content and campaigns specific to Chinese tourists, especially during special events such as Double 11, Golden Week, and Chinese New Year.
To ensure tourist safety and provide a better experience at all destinations across Thailand, a 24/7 Chinese customer service hotline is in place to contact Chinese tourists and address their concerns. It will be installed.
TAT Governor Tapanie Khiafaiburu said, “The partnership with Fliggy will provide TAT with a broader platform to showcase the charm of ‘Great Thailand’ and its diverse tourism products and services.” Ta. We look forward to working with Fliggy to attract more Chinese tourists to our country. ”
Zhuoran Zhuang, CEO of Fliggy, added: “Cross-border tourism is showing promising recovery trends. As the leading platform for outbound individual travel in China, Fliggy has formed a close partnership with TAT to upgrade services, experiential innovation, and promote destinations. This partnership will provide people with more diverse and high-quality travel options to Thailand and further strengthen the confidence of local businesses and the tourism industry.”
Previously, Fliggy and TAT launched a joint campaign to communicate Thailand’s readiness to welcome Chinese tourists post-pandemic, including online travel programs and livestream broadcasts promoting Thailand’s travel experiences and special packages.
